Faculty Advisor - Michael C. Wolfe



Dr. Michael Wolfe joined the Pamplin College of Business in the fall of 2013.
Dr.Wolfe holds a Ph.D. in accounting from Oklahoma State University, where he earned three previous degrees: a master’s in quantitative financial economics, an MBA, and a bachelor’s in accounting.

Dr. Wolfe’s research interests include accounting and disclosure issues relating to financial instruments, accounting for financial institutions, international accounting issues, and market-based accounting research. Dr. Wolfe’s dissertation, chaired by Tony Kang, is titled “The Effect of Mandatory Quantitative Input Disclosures on Investor Perception of Mark-to-Model Fair Value Estimates.”

Before coming to Virginia Tech, Dr. Wolfe taught at Oklahoma State University. His work experience includes more than ten years in the banking and energy industries. He is also a licensed CPA from the state of Oklahoma.

President - Shipra Pandey



Shipra is a Junior pursuing a double-major in Finance and Accounting. Shipra will be interning with Deloitte in Tysons in summer 2019. Her main goals for her term as President are to help students build themselves professionally, incorporate social and informative activities in meetings, and improve chapter execution.

VP of Programming - Marissa Vahlkamp



Marissa is a sophomore pursuing an accounting degree with plans on continuing her education at Virginia Tech through their master’s program. She will graduate in May 2021 with 150 credit hours and will sit for the CPA exam. Her main goal as Vice President of Programming is to create interactive weekly meetings with various firms and expand Beta Alpha Psi’s network to go beyond the scope of public accounting.

VP of Membership - Courtney Rhodes



Courtney Rhodes is a senior accounting major at Virginia Tech. Next summer, Courtney will be interning with KPMG Business Tax Services in Richmond, Virginia. Following her graduation in May of 2019, Courtney will attend the University of Mississippi to participate in KPMG’s Master of Taxation with Data and Analytics program. As Vice President of Membership, Courtney wants to improve communication and transparency of information between the executive board and the chapter.

VP of Community Service -
Anna Bossa


Anna Bossa is a senior majoring in Accounting with a Chinese language minor. She plans to graduate in May 2019 with 150 credits to sit for the CPA exam. As the Vice President of Community Service, Anna hopes to put together care packages with the members for the Warm Hearth Village senior residents. Anna also plans on expanding the tutoring session opportunities to BIT 2405 and BIT 2406 students along with ACIS 2115 and ACIS 2116.

Treasurer - Kyle Hobbs



Kyle is a Junior pursuing a BIT degree with a concentration in Operation Supply Management with plans to graduate with 150 credit hours in May 2020. He is seeking an internship involving risk advisory in the upcoming year. His main goal as treasurer is to successfully monitor financial activities of the organization.

Controller - Jack Speroni



Jack is a junior pursuing a Finance degree with options in Corporate Finance and Risk Management with plans to graduate in 2020. He spent last summer in China. As controller, Jack wants to try to provide Beta Alpha Psi's members with more internship, externship, and job opportunities by connecting them with recruiters.

Historian - Ibrahim Khokhar



Ibrahim is currently a senior studying Business Information Technology. He will be attending graduate school here at Virginia Tech. This past summer he interned at Guidehouse LLP formerly PwC. This upcoming summer he will be interning at Deloitte in their cyber security practice. A fun fact about Ibrahim is that he is a townie and was born in Blacksburg.
