Faculty Advisor - E. Scott Johnson



Dr. Johnson joined the Virginia Tech faculty in the Fall of 2013. In his first two semesters, he has taught the two undergraduate tax courses. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas and his master’s and bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Florida. Go Gators! His public accounting experience includes working in Deloitte’s Atlanta office as a tax staff member in the state and local tax group and as a tax senior in the national total state tax solutions group. He also worked in the tax department of luxury developer WCI Communities in Bonita Springs, Florida. Dr. Johnson’s research interests include real earnings management, executive compensation, corporate governance and financial capital markets.

President - Elisabeth Cox



Elisabeth is a senior pursuing a dual degree in Accounting and Management, with plans to graduate with 150 credit hours in May 2017. This past summer, she interned in the audit department of the Richmond KPMG office. In summer of 2015, she spent eight weeks interning in both the tax and audit departments at Keiter CPA, an accounting firm located in Richmond, Virginia. Her main goals for her term as President are to improve chapter operations, maintain our stellar on campus reputation, and act as a resource for all members throughout their career search.

VP of Programming - Bennett Holthaus



Bennett is a senior pursuing a dual degree in Accounting and Management and plans to graduate in the spring of 2017 with 150 credit hours. During summer 2015 she interned in both the tax and audit departments at Keiter in Richmond, Virginia. In the summer of 2016 she was a tax intern with EY in the Richmond Office. She is a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and serves on the New Member Education Committee. In her free time, she loves hiking and watching movies. This year she hopes to increase involvement in Beta Alpha Psi so new members will be excited about the great opportunities it provides!

VP of Membership - Amana Kayani



Amana is a senior pursuing a degree in Business Management. This past summer she spent 8 weeks interning with Cherry Bekaert LLP in the Virginia Tyson's Corner office in both Audit and Tax. She has only been apart of the Hokie family for one year, as she transferred in from NVCC last fall. Upon graduation she hopes to work in HR or Consulting. Amana also serves as the Vice President of Events for UNICEF at Virginia Tech and plans to expand that organization as well. Her goal for the year at Beta Alpha Psi is to build a mentor-mentee program for our members in order to better guide younger members as they pursue internships within their fields.

VP of Community Service - Emily Rector



Emily is a senior double majoring in Accounting and Finance. She plans to graduate in May 2017 with 150 credit hours and will take the CPA exam afterwards. She participated in the audit internship in Deloitte's Mclean office this past summer. She is also a Small Group leader with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and on campus ministry at VT, where she leads and mentors freshman girls. In her free time, she loves to play soccer and go on long distance runs outside. One of her goals this year as VP of Community Service is to lead the chapter projects that serve the VT campus and the surrounding Blacksburg area, while growing the BAP community closer together and allowing the members to really get to know each other.

Treasurer - Sam Kim



Sam is a junior pursuing a dual degree in Accounting and Finance and minor in Entrepreneurship, working to graduate in Spring of 2018. This summer, he worked as a Transportation Analyst Intern at Dominion Resources in Richmond, VA and he will be interning with Deloitte in the summer of 2017. Sam is also an active member of ALPFA (Association for Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting), having taken up a leadership position there as well. He seeks to contribute to the growth of BAP in recent years by accurately and efficiently executing financial duties as treasurer of the organization for 2016-2017 school year.

Controller - Ibrahim Khokhar



Ibrahim is a junior pursuing a degree in Business Information Technology(OSM). He plans to graduate in May 2019 and will be interning in the Advisory practice at PWC in McLean. Ibrahim is a Blacksburg native and a Hokie from birth. In his free time, Ibrahim loves to learn about cars and spend time with his friends and family. One of his goals for this year is to provide excellent, quick and precise communication between the executive board of BAP and the members of BAP.
